Lilith, Adam’s first wife, created at the same time and from the same earth as her husband, left Adam after she refused to become subservient to him. He complained to God and three angels were sent after her; she refused to return. Became a lover to demons, producing one hundred offspring a day. When she did not return, God punished her by taking away her children. In most manifestations of her myth, Lilith represents chaos, seduction and ungodliness.

MYTHOLOGY MEME: {2/4} CREATURES
Incubi and Succubi; demons that appear in dreams and lie upon sleepers in order to seduce them. Incubi are demons in the male form whilst Succubi are their female counterparts. It became generally accepted that incubi and succubi were the same demon, able to switch between male and female forms. A succubus would be able to sleep with a man and collect his sperm, and then transform into an incubus and use that seed on women. Religious traditions hold that repeated sexual activity with either an incubi and a succubi may result in the deterioration of health or even death.

MYTHOLOGY MEME | (4/8) LEGENDARY CREATURES
A DEMON is a paranormal, often malevolent being prevalent in religion, occultism, literature, fiction, and folklore. The original Greek word daimon does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the Koine, and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root. In Ancient Near Eastern religions as well as in the Abrahamic traditions, including ancient and medieval Christian demonology, a demon is considered an unclean spirit, sometimes a fallen angel, the spirit of a deceased human, or a spirit of unknown type which may cause demonic possession, calling for an exorcism. In Western occultism and Renaissance magic, which grew out of an amalgamation of Greco-Roman magic, Jewish demonology, and Christian tradition, a demon is a spiritual entity that may be conjured and controlled.
