This is your parents fighting in their room but coming out like everything is fine. It’s seeing divorce papers go unsigned. This is getting straight-A’s,  after finding answers in the bottom of a prescription bottle. This is crying in your room at three o'clock in the morning, after drinking to fill all the holes in your chest. Trips to the mall are cheaper than a therapist. This is finally kissing your best friend. This is not going to church, but finding God between her hips.  And when you want to talk about it, she giggles and says she ‘doesn’t remember’. This is breaking his heart to fix yours.
